"What kind of a name is Heatwave?!" - Unknown Passer-by

"What kind of a name is Heatwave?!" someone said whilst walking past the shop on Sunday.

Fair question, really. We’d probably be better suited in solar energy. Truth is, we didn’t fully consider the repercussions of having a name related to an atmospheric condition and that anyone that tries to find us online will have to sift through countless articles about climate change. 

But alas! For those who wonder why we went with the name Heatwave, simply put, it's an album from one of my favourite bands. A heavy hitting album by hardcore punk band Trapped Under Ice. 11 songs in 14 minutes described as "an unrelenting sonic assault". 

It might not be your cup of tea but you can't say it doesn't pack a punch.
