CSD Racing: Alleycat Foot Race Round 3

Sep 03, 2024

We hope everyone had some chaotic fun out there and is looking forward to the next one.

The Northlake labyrinth, where you can take 8 right turns and end up at the other end of the subdivision. We had everything from 6.48km to over 10km, surprisingly, majority of the longest routes were people that live in Northlake but if it makes you feel any better I got lost on the course recce and I knew where all the checkpoints and shortcuts were.

Well done to two original Alleycatters Tibo & Pete who went down to the wire for the top Men’s spot closely followed by Archie who we all watched take a wrong turn right at the end. Tibo has started his winning streak with back to back wins, so start studying the streets (and bushes) of Wanaka if you want a chance to take him down. Blythe put some serious rubber on the tarmac and was the first Women back by 3 minutes with an honest 7.5KM and then another close finish with 5 seconds splitting Natti & Sarah with over 2KM difference in their routes.

Sarah and Bryce got back together and took the shortest route out of the 50+ runners at 6.48km. Pure dedication from them both shown by how many twigs they had in their hair.

Cheers for coming out and see you at the next one!
